We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Baskov fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Baskov is looking to clinch but Valenz is avoiding it.
Valenz tries to clinch but Baskov moves away
and Baskov counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Valenz wants to clinch

and Baskov counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Valenz is looking to get back to is feet but Baskov passes into side control.
Valenz is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Baskov is controlling him well.
Valenz bucks up and tries to throw Baskov off but instead Baskov has got his back!
Baskov keeps control of the position easily here as Valenz tries to buck him off.

Baskov is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Valenz has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Valenz controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Baskov lands punches and elbows.
Valenz is trying to stand back up.
Baskov lands with a big left hand that may well have hurt his opponent. Can Valenz hold on?!
Valenz looking to stop the rear naked choke attempt by controlling the hands.
Valenz is breathing heavily.
Valenz trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

Baskov is cranking Valenz's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Valenz! He's tightened the choke and Valenz is tapping out!
