Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Charlie Potter (ranked 2446 p4p, 4420 weight class) and Randy Handy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Randy Handy has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Charlie Potter!

The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Ron Honeybunn and Hugh Johnson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Handy closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Potter's guard.
Handy not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Potter knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Handy on the ground.
Handy stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Potter swivels though and keeps the full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Handy shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Potter parries the strikes from Handy easily there. Handy is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Potter to escape.
Handy remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Handy thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Handy wants to lay and pray for a moment but Potter keeps working.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Potter definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Handy gets control of Potter's arms and successfully pulls guard. Handy will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Handy bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Potter's guard.

Potter moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Handy tries to move into range but Potter moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Potter is really turning it up, unleashing another crisp combination which drops Handy like a ton of bricks! The referee dives in to stop the fight, saving Handy from another fist facial!
