PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Figueson Deiveiredo (ranked 4711 p4p, 4689 weight class) and Adiwang Leetoh (ranked 227 p4p, 226 weight class). Deiveiredo comes into the arena with Mission Impossible - Adam Clayton blaring out of the sound system. Leetoh has chosen Mai Wai Bok Wai - Henri feat. Tohmo as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Josh West, Chris Saunders and Jeff Smith.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Deiveiredo tries to close the distance and clinch but Leetoh swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Deiveiredo fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Leetoh changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Deiveiredo tries to avoid it but Leetoh manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Deiveiredo to the ground. Deiveiredo escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Leetoh darts in looking for a takedown but Deiveiredo gets double underhooks and turns Leetoh into the cage.
Deiveiredo dives in and grabs Leetoh's left leg, looking for a takedown. Leetoh pushes down on Deiveiredo's head and hops out.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Leetoh wants to take the fight to the mat but Deiveiredo manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Figueson Deiveiredo has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Adiwang Leetoh.

Leetoh seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Deiveiredo does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Deiveiredo has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Leetoh is working away from the top position though.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Leetoh shoots in for a takedown but Deiveiredo shows good takedown defense.
Horrible takedown attempt by Deiveiredo or perhaps it was just good defense by Leetoh, which made it look bad.
Deiveiredo throws a body punch but Leetoh moves out of range.
Leetoh goes for a double leg but Deiveiredo avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Deiveiredo continues to drive forward.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Deiveiredo wants to stand and escape but Leetoh is having none of it.
