Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jon Simms (ranked 4281 p4p, 4380 weight class) and Fabius Barton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barton shoots in for a double leg but Simms sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Simms does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Simms throws a series of punches but Barton avoids them all with ease.
Barton swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Barton tries to close the distance and clinch up but Simms swats him away and circles back towards the center.
As Barton backs away, Simms returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.
Barton moves forwards but Simms connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Barton dives in and grabs Simms's left leg, looking for a takedown. Simms pushes down on Barton's head and hops out.
Simms tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Barton is able to avoid easily.
Simms scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Barton tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Simms defends well and Barton ends up having to push Simms into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
