Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Kombat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Hoar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Mike Kombat! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Steve Hoar! The judges for this bout are , and .
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Horrible takedown by Hoar or perhaps it was just good defense by Kombat which made him look bad. Hoar fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Hoar stalks Kombat and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Kombat's face. Kombat staggers backwards, shaken.
It looks like Mike Kombat has been cut. Hoar gets the takedown into side control. Kombat is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kombat is concentrating on defense, preventing Hoar from advancing position. Hoar not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Kombat pushes Hoar off looking to stand but Hoar dives back in and keeps control.
Hoar wants to stand up but Kombat has a hold of him and won't allow it. Hoar is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Hoar trying to control the pace. Hoar prevents Kombat from standing back up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kombat tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Hoar thows a huge punch but Kombat dodges it nicely.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Hoar lands a nice short elbow. Kombat is trying to get back to full guard. Kombat pushes Hoar off looking to stand but Hoar dives back in and keeps control.
Hoar tries to stand but can't do so whilst Kombat controls his leg. Kombat is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Hoar scores with a couple of nice shots. Hoar throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Hoar is nestled in close to Kombat, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Hoar winds up and cracks Kombat with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kombat is looking to improve his position.
Kombat is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Hoar jumps into side control! Hoar grinds an elbow into Kombat's temple. Kombat dodges the ground and pound from Hoar. Hoar has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand. Kombat is breathing heavily. Kombat fails with the takedown and Hoar counters with a two punch combo. Hoar looks for a takedown but Kombat sprawls well. Hoar tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Kombat paws at him with a jab and circles away. Kombat will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kombat shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Hoar tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Kombat swivels and escapes. Mike Kombat has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Steve Hoar. Kombat connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Hoar momentarily.
A combination from Hoar does no damage. Kombat has closed the distance and engaged Hoar in a clinch.
Kombat breaks the clinch.
Kombat tries to clinch up. Hoar looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Kombat throws a body punch but Hoar moves out of range. Kombat clinches up against the cage. Kombat stalling in the clinch.
Hoar throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Kombat keeps control of Hoar as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Kombat jumps guard.
Kombat working for a triangle but Hoar defends it easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hoar trying to control the position from guard on top but Kombat is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Kombat is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Kombat is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Kombat is looking to stand back up but Hoar counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Kombat. Kombat has one foot on Hoar's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Steve Hoar dominated that round. The cut man is working on Mike Kombat's cut. That's time! Kombat's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Hoar tries to clinch but fails miserably and Kombat counters with a shoot takedown. Hoar fights it but they end up in guard. Kombat passes Hoar's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Hoar has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Kombat is working away from the top position though. Hoar flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Kombat wants to stand up but Hoar is controlling the position.
Hoar wants to stand back up but Kombat manages to pass into side control.
Kombat stands up. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Kombat. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hoar connects with a crisp jab. Hoar wants to clinch up but Kombat keeps it at a distance. Hoar is looking to clinch. Kombat keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Hoar throws a one two combo.
Kombat shoots in but no luck this time. Hoar is looking to clinch. Hoar lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Kombat circles away quickly and effectively. Steve Hoar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hoar moves out of range of the body kick from Kombat.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Kombat waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Hoar. Hoar works over Kombat's head and body with a nice combination. Kombat clinches up with Hoar and pushes him back against the cage. Hoar wants to break the clinch but can't.
Kombat manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Hoar trying to control but Kombat is working from the bottom. Kombat looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kombat looking to hit a scissor sweep but Hoar is one step ahead there. Kombat wants to stand but Hoar is controlling the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hoar being controlled here momentarily. Hoar is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Hoar landing with the ground and pound. Hoar thows a big elbow that misses.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Hoar stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kombat swivels though and keeps the full guard. Hoar preventing the sweep.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Hoar fails with the takedown. Kombat shoots in for a takedown but Hoar shows good takedown defense. Kombat closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Kombat lands in his opponent's guard. Hoar is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Kombat is controlling him. Hoar has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Kombat avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mike Kombat dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Mike Kombat's cut. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
Hoar shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kombat pinned against the cage. Kombat gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Kombat bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Hoar tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Kombat wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Hoar is not content to let Kombat control the position. Hoar is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Kombat has just dragged him back down to the mat. Kombat stands up and we're back to a striking position. Kombat takes the fight into the clinch. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hoar tries to break the clinch but Kombat is controlling the position. Kombat pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Kombat drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Kombat tries to free his leg and advance position but Hoar is retaining full guard. Mike Kombat overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Hoar working a defensive guard here.
Kombat slips nicely into half guard. Kombat stops Hoar from getting back to his feet.
Hoar is trying to control but can't.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hoar moves into full guard.
Hoar looking to hit a scissor sweep but Kombat is one step ahead there. Kombat wants to get up but he can't break Hoar's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Hoar is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Kombat stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hoar swivels though and keeps the full guard. Kombat wants to control from the top but Hoar keeps moving.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Hoar shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kombat as he avoids it easily. Kombat has his takedown stuffed and Hoar cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Hoar looks to land a combination. Kombat sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Mike Kombat is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Kombat ducks under a wild hook from Hoar. Hoar closes the distance and clinches. Kombat is pressed up against the cage. Hoar has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Kombat down to the mat. Kombat avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Mike Kombat has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Steve Hoar. Kombat gets a takedown into half guard. Kombat stops Hoar from getting back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hoar wants to get back to full guard. Hoar trying to control here.
Hoar manages to escape and get back to his feet! Some wild striking there from Hoar.
Hoar throws a right and a left that both miss. Kombat bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Kombat taking a break here but Hoar is having none of it and regains half guard. Kombat wants to pass to mount but Hoar is defending the position.
And that's the end of the fight! Mike Kombat showed his dominance in that final round. I think Kombat has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
