The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Ben Zyskovitsi and Matti Vanhoillinen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Van Dorner uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by King.
Van Dorner feinted there with a counter leg kick.
King looks to score with a jab to the body but Van Dorner is just out of range.
Van Dorner is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Van Dorner pulls out of a head kick attempt.
King feints the counter takedown.
Van Dorner moves out of range as King strikes.
King misses with a lunging right hand
and Van Dorner counters with a leg kick.
Van Dorner throws a sloppy head kick and King moves out of range easily.
King changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
King ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Van Dorner moves away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

King dives in and scores a takedown into Van Dorner's guard.
King postures up and lands a big shot to Van Dorner's brow.
King stays in close to Van Dorner's body and controls the position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Van Dorner throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Van Dorner's coaches at Outlier Martial Arts have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position.

King working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
King lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
King is taking a breather. Van Dorner says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

King looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Van Dorner with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

King is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Van Dorner is hurt! He's hurt bad - King fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Van Dorner from any more punishment! Congratulations to King! Great finish!
