Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Joe Cooter (ranked 3540 p4p, 5575 weight class) and Devin Brusellsprouts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Devin Brusellsprouts!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cooter avoids the head kick by Brusellsprouts.
Brusellsprouts looks for the body kick but Cooter saw that one coming.
Brusellsprouts throws a leg kick

and Cooter decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Brusellsprouts's guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Cooter accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Cooter stands and throws Brusellsprouts's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Cooter tries for a kimura but Brusellsprouts is defending well.
Brusellsprouts really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cooter. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Cooter postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Cooter working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Cooter tries to move into full mount but can't pass Brusellsprouts's legs.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Cooter has hold of Brusellsprouts's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Brusellsprouts seems comfortable defending it but Cooter has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Brusellsprouts is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Brusellsprouts is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Cooter couldn't care less - he's delighted!
