Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jack Villian (ranked 5182 p4p, 2635 weight class) and Vance Chimaev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Jack Villian has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Chimaev closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Villian quickly recovers to half guard.

Chimaev escapes and gets back to his feet.

Chimaev shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Villian knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Chimaev on the ground.

Chimaev drops back looking for a leg! Villian is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Villian manages to kick Chimaev off! Chimaev jumps back into Villian's guard.

Chimaev drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Chimaev jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Chimaev stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Chimaev wants it to stay on the feet.
Villian is breathing heavily.
