PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kulata Bitok (ranked 24640 p4p, 4957 weight class) and Micah Hawk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Micah Hawk told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.

Bitok shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Hawk napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Hawk is trying to control Bitok's posture but Bitok avoids it.
Hawk is looking for a sweep.
Hawk is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Hawk is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Bitok's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Hawk tries to get to full guard but Bitok has control of the leg.
Bitok knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hawk on the ground.
Hawk is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Bitok's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Bitok's back!
Bitok just trying to survive but Hawk is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.

Bitok is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Hawk.

Hawk has his arm under Bitok's chin here. Game over son! Hawk squeezes tightly and Bitok is forced to tap out!
