PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cameron Bandersnatch (ranked 4466 p4p, 3632 weight class) and Jim Bean (ranked 0 p4p, 481 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Cameron Bandersnatch has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Cameron Bandersnatch seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Cameron Bandersnatch!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Jim Bean!
The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Dirk Anderson and Sandra Marshall.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bean feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Bandersnatchs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Bandersnatch avoids the head kick by Bean.
Bandersnatch fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Bean throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Bean scores with a punch to the head.

Bandersnatch drives through and clinches with Bean against the cage.
Bean wants to break free but Bandersnatch has control.

Bandersnatch breaks the clinch.

Bandersnatch changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Bean looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bandersnatch has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Bean keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Nice shot lands for Bean.
Bean does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Bandersnatch clinches with his opponent.

Bandersnatch pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Bean drops Bandersnatch with a beautiful combination! Bandersnatch stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Bean is looking for the KO!

Bandersnatch is rocked!

It looks like Cameron Bandersnatch has been cut.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Bandersnatch.
Oh Bandersnatch is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Cameron Bandersnatch. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Bean dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Bandersnatch seems to have got his legs back now.

Bandersnatch closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Bandersnatch ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Bandersnatch no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Bandersnatch is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Bean preventing the sweep.
Bean really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bandersnatch. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Bandersnatch is breathing heavily.

Bean looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

Bandersnatch has control of Bean's left arm, preventing Bean from doing any damage.
Bean wants to stand but Bandersnatch is controlling his posture from full guard.

Bandersnatch looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Bean has picked Bandersnatch up and slammed him! Bandersnatch can't keep hold of the triangle and Bean manages to pass to side control!

Bean decides to stand back up. Bean steps back and let's Bandersnatch get back to his feet.
Bean connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.

Bandersnatch will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Bandersnatch could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Bean lands a left and a right that send Bandersnatch crashing to the mat, dazed. Bean thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Bean has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Bean lands with a right that hurts Bandersnatch. Bandersnatch looks to clinch but Bean throws a short knee that drops Bandersnatch. This one is all over!
