Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between David Snake (ranked 4232 p4p, 4234 weight class) and Tartar Martyr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tartar Martyr has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, David Snake!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Tartar Martyr!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Paul Gruel and Chris Saunders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Martyr on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

It looks like Tartar Martyr has been cut.

Snake has closed the distance and engaged Martyr in a clinch.
Snake drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Martyr gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Martyr tries to stall but Snake uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Snake.
Snake gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Martyr.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Snake.
Snake could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Snake taking a break, stalling in the clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Martyr drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Snake lands a body shot in the clinch.
Snake softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
Snake is stalling here.

Snake breaks the clinch.
Martyr misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
David Snake has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tartar Martyr.
Snake throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Snake gets caught napping as Martyr dives in and scores a takedown. Snake manages to retain guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Snake throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Snake is trying to control the position but Martyr postures up.
Martyr throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Martyr stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Snake swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Snake trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
Snake might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Snake is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Martyr is looking to improve his position.
Snake working the head and body with strikes.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Martyr is looking to control Snake's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Martyr avoid being mounted?
Martyr is looking to improve his position.

Martyr is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Snake pulls his head out easily.
Snake seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Martyr wants to control but Snake is keeping busy.
Snake looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Martyr with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Snake drops an elbow to the side of Martyr's head.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Snake is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Martyr looks winded!

Martyr is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Snake pulls his head out easily.

Snake is looking to take a break and control but Martyr is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Martyr is looking for a sweep. Snake is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Martyr on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Snake missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

David Snake dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Tartar Martyr's cut.
That's time! Back to the action!

Snake is looking to clinch.
Martyr tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Snake fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Martyr avoids it really well and circles away.
Snake looks to land a left hand but Martyr moved out of range nicely.
Martyr tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Snake swivels and escapes.

Snake drops Martyr with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Martyr looks back up at him and smiles so Snake waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Martyr is rocked!
Snake with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Martyr is still on wobbly legs! Can Snake finish him?
Snake lands a nice leg kick that just misses Martyr's sensitive parts.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Snake moves into the clinch.

Snake pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Martyr seems to have recovered his senses.
Snake shoots in for a double leg but Martyr sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Martyr shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Snake throws a leg kick which misses Martyr's front leg but catches the back leg as Martyr tries to avoid it.
OH! Martyr has been rocked by a huge right hand and is in deep trouble! Snake smells blood and charges in for the finish! Snake unloads a vicious overhand right and connects to the jaw of Martyr sending him face first to the canvas! Unbelievable!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). David Snake!
