Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ville Valo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Sherman Manau!
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Igor Prikhodko and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Valo throws a head kick that half lands.
It looks like Sherman Manau has been cut.
Valo lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Good standup being displayed there by Valo as he connects with a hook.
A punch combination from Valo misses.
Valo closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Valo gets through Manau's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Valo tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Manau wants to break the clinch but can't.
Manau looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Manau tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Valo's elbow.
Manau lands a takedown into guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Valo scrambles and gets back to his feet.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Valo.
Manau looks winded!
Valo throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Manau on the side of the head.
Manau takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Ville Valo is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
A big head kick from Valo and Manau is sent sprawling to the canvas!
Manau is rocked!
That has opened up Sherman Manau's cut even more.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Valo stands up over Manau, holding on to his feet. Valo throws the legs to one side and dives in with a huge shot that lands flush on the chin! Manau is out cold! Valo lands a couple more shots and the ref tackles him out of the way! What a brutal finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:47 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Ville Valo!
