Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dan Catara (ranked 2843 p4p, 3743 weight class) and Sayten Thursar (ranked 0 p4p, 446 weight class). Catara kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Everlong. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dan Catara! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Sayten Thursar! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Tiny Johnson and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Thursar throws a body punch but Catara moves out of range. Catara shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Thursar misses with a straight right. Catara drives through with a takedown into Thursar's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position. Thursar is working an open guard so Catara takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Thursar catches Catara with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Thursar throws a jab but it's blocked by Catara. Thursar gets caught napping as Catara dives in and scores a takedown. Thursar manages to retain guard. Thursar is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Catara engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. Catara distracts Thursar with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
That's one minute gone in the round. Catara content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Thursar being controlled here, momentarily. Catara has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Catara tries to free his leg and advance position but Thursar is retaining full guard. Thursar wants to sweep but no luck. Catara is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Catara with a flurry of punches that miss. Catara scoring with punches to the head and body. Catara not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Catara gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Thursar. Catara has closed the distance and engaged Thursar in a clinch.
Catara breaks the clinch.
Catara walks into a stiff left hand from Thursar. Catara throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Thursar's waist but Thursar gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Catara off to one side. Catara shoots for a takedown but Thursar saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dan Catara. That's going to take a lot out of him. Thursar connects with a body shot that sends Catara's belly button to the back. Thursar scores with a hook to the body. Catara takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Thursar cracks Catara with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Thursar has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Catara to stand back up!
Catara is rocked!
It looks like Dan Catara has been cut. This has been an exciting period of action! Thursar throws an overhand right that drops Catara like a sack of potatoes! Thursar dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
