Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Hajime Nakamura (ranked 2503 p4p, 2837 weight class) and Brandon Rose (ranked 215 p4p, 245 weight class). Nakamura comes into the arena with Soldier of Fortune - Loudness blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rose clinches.

Nakamura tightens his grip and picks Rose up, before dumping him to the ground. Rose manages to land in guard.
Nakamura wants to control from the top but Rose keeps moving.

Rose had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Nakamura defends it easily.

Rose has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Nakamura can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Nakamura has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Nakamura thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Rose's head.

Nakamura ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Nakamura no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Nakamura throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Rose was covering up waiting for the punch and Nakamura finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Nakamura got a little sloppy there for a moment and Rose has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Nakamura has managed to get both his arms back between Rose's legs - danger averted.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Brandon Rose showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
