Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Marcus Karlsson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Kosher NAZI! The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Seu Braga and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! NAZI throws a right and a left that both miss. Karlsson misses with a low kick. The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Karlsson checks a leg kick. NAZI's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and NAZI duly obliges. Karlsson gets a takedown into half guard. Karlsson is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Karlsson prevents NAZI from improving his position. NAZI is trying to maintain the position but Karlsson is very close to passing his half guard. Karlsson looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
NAZI is trying to get back to full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Karlsson wants to stand up but NAZI is controlling the position.
Karlsson with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. NAZI makes his way to full guard. A much better position for NAZI. NAZI not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
NAZI has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Karlsson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. NAZI looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Karlsson trying to control but NAZI is working from the bottom. NAZI had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Karlsson is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. NAZI Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Karlsson's back instead. Karlsson breaks NAZI's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Karlsson is looking to work some ground and pound but NAZI has wrist control. Karlsson trying to control the position from guard on top but NAZI is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. NAZI looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Karlsson is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Karlsson wants to control from the top but NAZI keeps moving. Karlsson slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Karlsson postures up.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Karlsson drives through with a takedown into guard. Karlsson pushes down on NAZI's leg and manages to get into half guard. NAZI wants to get back to full guard. Karlsson stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows NAZI to get to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. NAZI shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Karlsson's guard. Karlsson avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Karlsson is trying to control the position but NAZI postures up. NAZI lands a couple of decent looking shots. NAZI postures up.

NAZI thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Karlsson lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for NAZI! Karlsson controlling his opponent. NAZI keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Karlsson avoids the attempt from NAZI to control. Karlsson tries to control but NAZI wriggling away.
That's one minute gone in the round. NAZI manages to regain half guard. Good work. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Karlsson is looking to take a break and control but NAZI is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. NAZI trying to control from the bottom.
Karlsson wants to free his trapped foot but NAZI is holding on for dear life with his legs. NAZI lands a couple of sideways elbows. NAZI trying to control here.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Karlsson trying to control the position from guard on top but NAZI is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

It looks like Kosher NAZI has been cut. Karlsson trying to control but he's not successful this time. Karlsson looking to control and managing it successfully. Karlsson looking to control but NAZI is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Karlsson in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
That's three minutes gone in the round. NAZI tries to get back to half guard but can't. Karlsson wants to control the pace but NAZI is squirming around nicely. Karlsson postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. NAZI looks a forlorn figure.
NAZI tries to lock up and control but Karlsson gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Karlsson trying to control but he's not successful this time. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Karlsson controlling from mount. Karlsson working for a submission but NAZI is keeping him at bay. A nice elbow there by Karlsson.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Karlsson working away from the top, dropping strikes. NAZI tries to improve his position but instead Karlsson has taken his back! Will Karlsson go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.

Karlsson is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish. Karlsson has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Marcus Karlsson just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Karlsson gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and NAZI counters with a takedown into side control. NAZI working the head and body with strikes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Kosher NAZI will probably get the nod - 10:9. The cut man is working on Kosher NAZI's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Karlsson is working away from the top position though. Marcus Karlsson overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. NAZI is trying to get back to full guard. Karlsson blocks the strikes from NAZI.
NAZI moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Karlsson won't allow NAZI to sweep him here. NAZI is trying to keep Karlsson in close.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. NAZI shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Karlsson wants to improve his position but NAZI is controlling well.
NAZI is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Karlsson is staying active underneath NAZI, who seems content to just control the action from this position. NAZI is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. NAZI controlling the action here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Karlsson looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. NAZI prevents Karlsson from improving his position. Karlsson wants to get back to full guard but NAZI has mounted him! Karlsson holds on to NAZI as tight as he can, avoiding damage.
