Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Beto Ribeiro!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Geoff Jefferson!
The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Peter Branson and Santiago Holmes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ribeiro misses the shot to the body.
Jefferson feints the counter takedown.
Jefferson shoots in for a takedown but Ribeiro shows good takedown defense.
Jefferson takes a body punch but keeps moving.

Jefferson shoots and misses
and Ribeiro counters with a left to the body.
Ribeiro definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Jefferson needs to keep his hands up - Ribeiro had a free shot at his head there.
Ribeiro looks to score with a jab to the body but Jefferson is just out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Left hook, right uppercut from Ribeiro.
Ribeiro leaves Jefferson with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Beto Ribeiro has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Geoff Jefferson.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Ribeiro lands a big right hand that sends Jefferson crashing to the mat! Ribeiro stays standing though and waves Jefferson back to his feet!
Jefferson is rocked!
It looks like Geoff Jefferson has been cut.
Jefferson drops his hands momentarily. Ribeiro doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Jefferson staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Jefferson doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Beto Ribeiro!
