Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 9 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Dimebag Abbot! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 9 - 18 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, William OConnor! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Frank Dennis and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Abbot looks to land a right hand but OConnor moved out of range. OConnor moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Dimebag Abbot seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Abbot connects with a combination that backs up OConnor into the cage. Abbot lands a flurry of punches that gets past OConnor's guard. OConnor is down and the referee has seen enough. It is all over! Abbot bursts into tears - this win obviously means a huge amount to him.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Dimebag Abbot! A pretty intense looking Dimebag Abbot took the opportunity post-fight to ask for a shot at the title.
