Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mabuz Bacia (ranked 2224 p4p, 3390 weight class) and Bradley Robertson (ranked 255 p4p, 372 weight class). Bradley Robertson is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mabuz Bacia! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Bradley Robertson! The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Jeff Smith and Ryoma Takatsuka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Robertson takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Bacia misses with a series of wild punches.
Robertson throws a right hand that Bacia ducks under and follows up with a left that Bacia also avoids with ease. Bacia fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Robertson manages to avoid it. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Robertson. Robertson misses with a few strikes there.
Robertson walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Bacia checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Bradley Robertson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Robertson shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Bacia's guard. Bacia looking for a sweep. Not yet Bacia, not yet. Bacia is looking to stand up but Robertson isn't so interested in that idea. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Robertson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
That's one minute gone in the round. Robertson won't allow Bacia to get back to his feet. Robertson has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Robertson throwing strikes but missing. Bacia is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Robertson is controlling him. Robertson landing some decent shots from guard. Robertson wants to control from the top but Bacia keeps moving. Robertson throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Bacia works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Bacia is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Bacia working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Robertson.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Robertson is pushing down on Bacia's leg trying to pass to half guard. Bacia is fighting to maintain full guard but Robertson has managed to sneak the leg through. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Robertson looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Robertson wants to take a breather but Bacia is having none of it. Bacia tries to roll over but Robertson keeps him under control. Bacia is in trouble now - Robertson has advanced to mount! Bacia knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Robertson on the ground. Robertson working for a submission here. He's tucked his head under his opponent's arm, looking for an arm triangle. He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Bacia looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Robertson! Submission of the night perhaps?
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Bradley Robertson! Bradley Robertson decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
