Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jack Lugermesiter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kevin Van Roosmalen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lugermesiter comes to the cage accompanied by Machinehead - Bush. Van Roosmalen is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: tupac - ambitionz az a ridah. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

1 - 0 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Jack Lugermesiter! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kevin Van Roosmalen! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Kenichi Hosakawa and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Van Roosmalen is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Lugermesiter shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Van Roosmalen is squirming around, avoiding Lugermesiter's attempts to control the action. You get the feeling that Van Roosmalen really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Lugermesiter stands up from mount. Strange move. Lugermesiter shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Van Roosmalen's guard. Lugermesiter is breathing heavily. Lugermesiter prevents Van Roosmalen from getting back to his feet. Lugermesiter stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Van Roosmalen swivels though and keeps the full guard. Lugermesiter drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Van Roosmalen dives on top into guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Van Roosmalen gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Van Roosmalen is looking to clinch but Lugermesiter is avoiding it.
Lugermesiter fails with a takedown attempt. Van Roosmalen scores with a jab. Lugermesiter acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lugermesiter looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Lugermesiter is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Van Roosmalen wants to get back to his feet. Lugermesiter performing his best blanket impression for a moment. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Van Roosmalen can do anything to dispel that myth. Van Roosmalen is looking to get back to is feet but Lugermesiter passes into side control.
Van Roosmalen is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Lugermesiter has just dragged him back down to the mat. Lugermesiter is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Van Roosmalen has escaped the position, nice work there. Van Roosmalen is looking for a sweep.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Van Roosmalen wants to get back to his feet. Lugermesiter thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Lugermesiter goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Van Roosmalen rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Lugermesiter's guard! Nice work there by Van Roosmalen! Van Roosmalen gets to his feet. Lugermesiter looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Van Roosmalen gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Lugermesiter counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Lugermesiter. Lugermesiter stands up from guard. Let's bang! Van Roosmalen is looking to clinch. Van Roosmalen keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Lugermesiter ducks right into an uppercut from Van Roosmalen.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Van Roosmalen scores with a nice right hand.
Lugermesiter shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Van Roosmalen as he avoids it easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jack Lugermesiter. That's going to take a lot out of him. Van Roosmalen closes this distance looking for a takedown but Lugermesiter circles away. Lugermesiter on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Lugermesiter throws a leg kick which misses Van Roosmalen's front leg but catches the back leg as Van Roosmalen tries to avoid it. Lugermesiter shoots in and bounces Van Roosmalen off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Lugermesiter won't allow Van Roosmalen to get back to his feet. Lugermesiter trying to control but Van Roosmalen is working from the bottom. Van Roosmalen keeping full guard, as Lugermesiter tries to pass. Lugermesiter trying to control the position from guard on top but Van Roosmalen is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Lugermesiter pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Van Roosmalen is keeping the position for now. Van Roosmalen wants to stand and escape but Lugermesiter is having none of it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Van Roosmalen uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Lugermesiter shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Van Roosmalen manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Van Roosmalen moves in looking to clinch but Lugermesiter pushes him off. Lugermesiter shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Van Roosmalen as he avoids it easily. Lugermesiter looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Van Roosmalen! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Lugermesiter is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Van Roosmalen is surviving well by controlling Lugermesiter's body position as best he can. Van Roosmalen's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Lugermesiter goes for an armbar but Van Roosmalen turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Van Roosmalen. Van Roosmalen tries to stand but Lugermesiter is controlling from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jack Lugermesiter dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Lugermesiter closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Van Roosmalen is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Lugermesiter is controlling him well. Lugermesiter has hold of Van Roosmalen's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Van Roosmalen seems comfortable defending it but Lugermesiter has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Van Roosmalen is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Van Roosmalen is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Lugermesiter couldn't care less - he's delighted!
