Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Chad Strdoza (ranked 2809 p4p, 2106 weight class) and Ruddo Ryokale (ranked 347 p4p, 278 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 21 - 32 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chad Strdoza!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 24 - 27 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ruddo Ryokale!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Sosuke Kotani and Shirou Masuda.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Ryokale throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Strdoza throws a big counter combination but Ryokale scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Strdoza slips under a jab from Ryokale.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Ryokale.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Ryokale tries to bum rush Strdoza with a series of wild strikes but Strdoza uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ryokale cracks Strdoza with an open hand slap.

Ryokale feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Ryokale stands up over Strdoza, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Ryokale is working Strdoza over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Strdoza controls Ryokale momentarily but Ryokale frees himself.
Ryokale content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

Strdoza is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Ryokale defends well.

Ryokale working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Ryokale seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Strdoza does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Chad Strdoza is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Ryokale looks to land a left hand but Strdoza moved out of range nicely.

Ruddo Ryokale showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Ryokale tries to close the distance and clinch up but Strdoza swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Strdoza went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Ryokale shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Strdoza as he jumps to the side.

Ryokale misses with a right hand
and Strdoza counters with a three punch combo that has Ryokale backing up. Ryokale nods at Strdoza to acknowledge the strikes.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ryokale has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Ryokale shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Strdoza manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Strdoza is on top in guard.


Strdoza thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Strdoza got a little sloppy there for a moment and Ryokale has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Strdoza has managed to get both his arms back between Ryokale's legs - danger averted.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Strdoza passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Ryokale has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it.

Strdoza is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Ryokale defends it well.

Strdoza is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Ryokale is just riding it out for now. Strdoza eventually gives up the hold.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Chad Strdoza showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Ryokale has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
