Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Chase McDormit!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Avatna Haviid!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Steve Smith and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jab, jab by McDormit - just one landing.
McDormit with a nice cross.
McDormit slips a jab from Haviid.
McDormit throws a poor cross that misses
and Haviid counters with a stiff right hand.
It looks like Chase McDormit has been cut.
Haviid's coach down at Temple of Fitness was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Haviid's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Haviid wants to land a leg kick but McDormit is out of range.
An attempted straight right counter from McDormit misses the target.
Haviid throws a low kick but McDormit moves out of range easily.
McDormit definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

A looping hook to the body misses from Haviid. McDormit does a little dance to reset his feet.
McDormit lunges at Haviid with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Haviid's hand.
McDormit scores with a jab.
McDormit clobbers Haviid with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
A slow jab from McDormit misses its intended target.
Haviid tries a quick counter leg kick but McDormit is wise to it.
McDormit scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Haviid doesn't seem bothered though.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
That kick from Haviid tenderised McDormit's leg. McDormit is trying to keep his angry face on.
Haviid staying out of range there.
McDormit looks to land a right hand but Haviid moved out of range.
McDormit ducks under a wild hook from Haviid.

Haviid steps to the side to avoid the strikes from McDormit.
McDormit connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Haviid lands a head shot.
Haviid pulls out of a head kick attempt.
A quick step to the side and McDormit tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Haviid finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
McDormit swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
McDormit walks into a jab.
Haviid takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
No joy there for Haviid, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
McDormit fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Haviid cracks McDormit with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Haviid throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
McDormit misses with a wild body shot.
McDormit tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Haviid was well out of range. Poor timing from McDormit.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
McDormit throws an overhand right that lands on Haviid's shoulder, as Haviid tries to avoid the shot.
A jab from McDormit does it's job there.

Haviid thuds a left hand into McDormit's body.
McDormit throws an ugly left hook that misses
letting Haviid counter with a right hand.
Haviid moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

McDormit lands a jab to the head.
McDormit slips a straight right by Haviid.
Haviid misses with a leg kick
and McDormit counters with a nice uppercut.
McDormit misses with a wild body shot.
McDormit loads up on a big right hand but Haviid slips the punch.
Haviid tries a low kick but McDormit avoids it.
McDormit stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Haviid is rocked!
BOOM! McDormit lands a beautiful left hook that drops Haviid. Haviid tries to recover but McDormit is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Haviid lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Chase McDormit!
Chase McDormit made sure to give a little speech post fight, saying 'Should we call an ambulance for Kaven? I don't think he is okay.'.
