Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bunny Anstey (ranked 1915 p4p, 3326 weight class) and Joel Osmond (ranked 231 p4p, 367 weight class). Bunny Anstey has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bunny Anstey! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Joel Osmond! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Ian Loll and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Osmond connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Joel Osmond seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Osmond misses with a wild body shot. Osmond throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Anstey counters with a right hand to the body. Osmond throws out a loose jab but Anstey uses good head movement to avoid it. Anstey throwing a counter right hand but Osmond manages to avoid it. Anstey has managed to clinch.
Osmond throws a punch but it's blocked by Anstey. Anstey jumps guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Osmond trying to control but Anstey is working from the bottom. Osmond stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Anstey swivels though and keeps the full guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Anstey is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
That's one minute gone in the round. Anstey works his foot free and advances to mount. Osmond is looking to improve his position but Anstey isn't that keen on the idea. Osmond takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
It looks like Joel Osmond has been cut. Anstey sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Osmond is desperately trying to improve his position but Anstey has a good base and remains in mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Osmond sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Osmond has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Anstey is working away from the top position though. Anstey landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Osmond has hold of Anstey's hands but Anstey slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Osmond looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Osmond wants to control but Anstey passes into side.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Anstey controlling the position from side mount. Anstey's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Anstey trying to control the action but Osmond is working from the bottom. Anstey working away. A lull in the action here as Anstey stalls from top position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Osmond is looking to regain half guard here but Anstey keeps moving and retains side control. Osmond sneaks back into half guard. Osmond tries to get to full guard but Anstey has control of the leg. Anstey looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Anstey seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Osmond for as long as he can get away with.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Bunny Anstey dominated that round. The cut man is working on Joel Osmond's cut. That's time! Anstey's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Osmond lands a slapping body shot.
A looping hook to the body misses from Anstey. Osmond does a little dance to reset his feet. Osmond swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Anstey is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Osmond can do to turn this around? Osmond cracks Anstey with a good jab. Osmond uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Anstey tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Osmond misses with a series of wild punches.

Anstey swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Anstey throws a jab but it's blocked by Osmond. Anstey looks to land a combination but Osmond avoids it well.

Osmond is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Anstey rather than just go for the knockout. Nice jab there from Anstey. A looping hook to the body misses from Osmond. and Osmond counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Osmond fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Anstey on the side of the head. Osmond thows a left - swing and a miss! Osmond takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Osmond looks to land a right hand but Anstey moved out of range. Anstey swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect. Osmond jabbing away but nothing is landing. Osmond lands a jab to Anstey's midsection. Osmond lands a jab to the head.
Osmond throws a nice looking combination but Anstey bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Osmond jabs at Anstey's body. Osmond misses with a wild body shot. Osmond misses with a hook. Anstey ducked under it nicely. Anstey rushes Osmond and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Osmond escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Osmond slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Bunny Anstey is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Osmond is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Joel Osmond seems to be getting the better of the standup. Osmond misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Anstey.
Osmond takes a swing at Anstey's ribcage but misses. Anstey gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Anstey moves out of range of the strikes. Anstey connects with a single shot there.
That has opened up Joel Osmond's cut even more.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Osmond lands a lovely overhand right. Osmond lands a head shot. A left and a right from Osmond both land. Nice combination. Anstey avoids the body shot from Osmond.
Osmond has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off. Anstey takes a shot right to the bread basket. Anstey comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Anstey defending well as Osmond loads up on a big left hand. Anstey was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Osmond on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

Horrible takedown attempt by Anstey or perhaps it was just good defense by Osmond, which made it look bad. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Osmond throws a series of punches but Anstey avoids them all with ease.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Osmond moves into range and connects with a jab. Anstey instigates a clinch. Anstey tries to pull guard but Osmond holds him up against the cage and eventually Anstey drops back down to his feet.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bunny Anstey. That's going to take a lot out of him. Anstey moves into range and clinches up with Osmond. Osmond can't find room to land a body shot as Anstey controls the action.

Joel Osmond showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Joel Osmond's cut. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round! Osmond throws a hook to the side of Anstey's head but Anstey sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Anstey is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Osmond. Osmond with a nice calf kick. Anstey has been working on his balance at Ludus Magnus, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Osmond. Osmond lands with a hook. Anstey tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Osmond clobbers Anstey with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Anstey tries to clinch there but Osmond circles away.
No joy there for Osmond, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Anstey seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Osmond. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man. Anstey displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Osmond throws out the jab. Anstey lands a lovely overhand right. Osmond throws a good cross that connects.

Osmond scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Nice jab there from Osmond. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Anstey misses with the combination.

Anstey has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Anstey there as he acknowledges the shot. Anstey misses with a series of wild punches.

Anstey is looking to counter punch. The fight moves into the clinch position. Osmond throws a head punch that misses. Anstey pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Anstey takes a body punch but keeps moving.

and Anstey takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Osmond tries to work over Anstey's front leg with a kick but Anstey checks it. Anstey uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Osmond. An attempted straight right counter from Anstey misses the target. Osmond cracks Anstey with an open hand slap. Osmond tries to sprawl but Anstey drives through with a takedown into half guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Osmond is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Anstey jumps into side control! Osmond is trying to control Anstey's posture but Anstey avoids it. Osmond seems a little lost for a moment, as Anstey dominates the positioning. Osmond gets back to half guard. Osmond is trying to get back to full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Osmond makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Osmond. Anstey is stalling in the full guard. Osmond is trying to control the position but Anstey postures up. Anstey is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Osmond throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Anstey escapes and throws Osmond's legs to the side, diving into side control!
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Osmond tries to bench press Anstey off him but Anstey keeps the position. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Further stalling from Anstey. Anstey has knee on belly and moves into mount. Anstey takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
And that's the end of the fight! Joel Osmond comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Osmond has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
