PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Edwin Valero (ranked 2076 p4p, 5984 weight class) and Haru Moteki (ranked 0 p4p, 250 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Edwin Valero!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 6 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Haru Moteki!
The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Daniel Franklin and Santiago Holmes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moteki throws a series of punches but Valero moves out of range.
It looked like Valero was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Moteki closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Moteki lands in his opponent's guard.

Valero has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Moteki can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Moteki should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Edwin Valero.
Well Moteki has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
