Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Rickson Caceres (ranked 328 p4p, 774 weight class) and Ernesto Romero (ranked 30 p4p, 71 weight class). Ernesto Romero has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ernesto Romero!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Vladimir Khabensky and Aleksandr Martynov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Romero fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Caceres, pushing him back against the cage.
Romero tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Romero gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Caceres.
Romero lands a nice uppercut.
Caceres blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Romero working some nice short punches in the clinch.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Romero creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Romero swings wildly with an uppercut but Caceres uses good head movement to avoid it.
Romero tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Caceres wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Romero lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Caceres backwards.
Caceres fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Still in the clinch, Romero scores with a nice short uppercut.

Caceres is rocked!

Romero pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Oh Caceres is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Caceres is trying to break the clinch but Romero is controlling him.

Caceres fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Romero avoids it really well and circles away.
Caceres seems to have got his legs back now.

And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Caceres swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Romero tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Caceres fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Romero displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Caceres.
Caceres takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Romero defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Caceres.

Romero lands a big right hand that drops Caceres! The killer instinct kicks in and Romero finishes his opponent with a series of strikes from mount. A dominating finish by Romero!
