Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Helio Flacide!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Deanthony Pederson!
The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Aleksandr Martynov and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pederson closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Flacide quickly recovers to half guard.
Pederson uses his free foot to push down on Flacide's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Flacide.
Flacide really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Flacide is controlling an arm, preventing Pederson from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.
Flacide bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Flacide is looking to work some ground and pound but Pederson has wrist control.
Pederson seems keen to control Flacide's posture.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Pederson tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Flacide throws a big elbow that misses.
Flacide pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Pederson is keeping the position for now.
Flacide is fighting to break Pederson's control of his arms but Pederson is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Flacide missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Pederson working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Flacide doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Flacide manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Pederson is looking for a triangle but Flacide pushes his legs off easily.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Flacide is working hard here to advance position.
Pederson looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Pederson is looking to cinch up a triangle. Flacide throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Pederson's body to avoid the submission. Pederson has instead reached around Flacide's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Pederson arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

Deanthony Pederson bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
