Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Albert Vortmont!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Roger Field!
The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Roger Salmon and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vortmont getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Field takes one to the chin there.
Field displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Vortmont throws out the jab.
Vortmont cracks Field with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Field closes the distance and clinches.
Field fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Vortmont manages to break the clinch.
Field takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Vortmont slips a jab from Field.
Vortmont drops Field with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Field looks back up at him and smiles so Vortmont waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Field looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Field tries to bum rush Vortmont with a series of wild strikes but Vortmont uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Vortmont drops Field with a huge uppercut! Field drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. Vortmont is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Albert Vortmont!
During a confident post fight interview, Albert Vortmont thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
