Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Andrew Barber!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Ricardo Cruz!
The judges for this bout are Chris Dean, Ben Hemmingworth and Ben Watson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Barber is looking to clinch.
Barber lands a nice looking body shot.
Barber will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Cruz with the counter takedown but Barber avoids it easily.
Barber swings for the body but Cruz moves out of range.
And Cruz tries to counter it with a takedown but Barber pushes his down on his head and steps out.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Barber misses with a jab, cross combination.
Cruz keeps the fight on the outside.

Cruz slips a jab and a cross from Barber.
Barber lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Barber throws a big shot that misses.
Cruz showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Barber.
Barber misses with a looping left.

Barber lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Andrew Barber seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A combination from Barber does no damage.
A punch combination from Barber misses.
And Cruz tries to counter it with a takedown but Barber pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Barber tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Cruz was well out of range. Poor timing from Barber.
Cruz avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Cruz swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Barber throws a series of punches but Cruz moves out of range.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Barber closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Barber misses with the combination.
Barber tries to close the distance and clinch but Cruz swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Cruz changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Barber throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Cruz.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Barber!

A big left from Barber misses.
And Cruz tries to counter it with a takedown but Barber pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Barber has taken the fight to the clinch.
Barber breaks from the clinch.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Cruz takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Andrew Barber dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.
Barber misses with a double jab
and Cruz counters with a takedown into side control.
Barber is pushing Cruz's head away, looking to escape. Cruz manages to hold on to the position though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cruz is looking to take a break and control but Barber is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Cruz might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Barber haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Barber has left one of his arms exposed and Cruz doesn't need a second invitation. He's isolated it and locked on a tight armbar. Barber screams and taps out, obviously in a lot of pain. Hopefully there isn't permanent damage to that arm.
