Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aslan Krabutov (ranked 1348 p4p, 3578 weight class) and Aldemir Santos (ranked 201 p4p, 473 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Aslan Krabutov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Aldemir Santos! The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Roosa Järviläinen and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Krabutov shoots for a takedown but Santos saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Krabutov scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Krabutov throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Santos tries to clinch up. Santos misses with a left hand and Krabutov counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Santos tries to get to full guard but Krabutov has control of the leg. Krabutov wants to pass the guard but Santos is defending well. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Krabutov missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Krabutov wants to pass the guard but Santos is defending well. Santos preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.

We've been hearing good reports from Krabutov's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. Santos is looking to control Krabutov's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Santos avoid being mounted? Santos is trying to get back to full guard. Krabutov stalling. Krabutov is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Krabutov takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Santos tries to get to full guard but Krabutov has control of the leg. Santos trying to control here.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Krabutov passes to full mount! Krabutov will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Krabutov with a couple of short strikes. Krabutov throwing strikes here but Santos is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Krabutov throws a wild left hand from mount and Santos manages to wriggle his way back to half guard. Santos is trying to stand up here but Krabutov is controlling him well. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Krabutov seems to be looking for submissions.
Krabutov is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Aslan Krabutov dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Krabutov fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Santos manages to avoid it. Santos avoids the body shot from Krabutov.

Krabutov changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Santos tries to avoid it but Krabutov manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Santos to the ground. Santos escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Krabutov avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Santos misses the shot to the body. Santos tries to close the distance and clinch but Krabutov swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Krabutov changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Santos fails with an attempt to clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Santos pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Krabutov back to the cage. Santos follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
It looks like Aslan Krabutov has been cut. Krabutov is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Santos can do to turn this around? Krabutov just misses with a punch to the body.
Santos cracks Krabutov with a right hand to the side of the head. Krabutov throws a body punch but Santos moves out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nice body punch from Krabutov. Krabutov displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Santos throws out the jab. Krabutov feinted with a counter takedown. Santos keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Krabutov will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Santos avoids a lazy jab quite easily. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Santos! But no joy. Santos uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Krabutov.
Krabutov is looking to wear down Santos with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Krabutov tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Santos was well out of range. Poor timing from Krabutov. Santos drives through and clinches with Krabutov against the cage.
Krabutov tries to pull guard but Santos holds him up against the cage and eventually Krabutov drops back down to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Aslan Krabutov. That's going to take a lot out of him. Krabutov breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Santos wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Santos scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Krabutov doesn't seem bothered though. Santos darts in and clinches Krabutov up against the cage. Krabutov tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Santos's elbow. Santos trying to control the position but instead, Krabutov has worked for underhooks and has pushed Santos into the cage. A bit of stalling here from Krabutov.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Krabutov looking to hit a scissor sweep but Santos is one step ahead there. Santos pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Krabutov is keeping the position for now. Krabutov lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Krabutov trying to control the position from guard on top but Santos is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Krabutov trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Krabutov accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Krabutov has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Krabutov throws an elbow that misses. Santos uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Krabutov's guard. Nice move by Santos! Santos looking to sit in guard and control but Krabutov gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Santos looking to hit a scissor sweep but Krabutov is one step ahead there. Santos trying to keep a closed guard but Krabutov is proving a slippery customer.

Aldemir Santos showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Aslan Krabutov's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round! Santos moves in looking to clinch but Krabutov pushes him off. Krabutov feinted with a counter takedown. Krabutov swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Krabutov throws a wild body kick that Santos sees coming a mile off. Santos scores with a sloppy right hand. Krabutov should have avoided that one. Santos tries to sprawl but Krabutov drives through with a takedown into half guard. Krabutov is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Santos defends it well. Krabutov prevents Santos from standing back up.

Santos tries to roll over but Krabutov keeps him under control. Krabutov throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Krabutov looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Krabutov lands with a punch from half guard. Krabutov tries to pass the half guard into mount. Santos knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Santos tries to bench press Krabutov off him but Krabutov keeps the position. Aslan Krabutov overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Krabutov tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Krabutov working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.
And that's the end of the fight! Aslan Krabutov showed his dominance in that final round. I think Krabutov has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
