Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 23 - 22 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Derrick Lewis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 23 - 19 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Leonard Nimoy!
The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lewis uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Nimoy.
Lewis shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Nimoy pinned against the cage. Nimoy gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Lewis keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
The fighters circling - Nimoy throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Nimoy throws a big shot that misses.
Lewis seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Nimoy defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Lewis.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nimoy bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Lewis's head backwards.
It looks like Derrick Lewis has been cut.
Nimoy connects with a leg kick.
Nimoy swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Lewis avoids a punch combination nicely.
It appears Lewis was looking to counter with a kick there.

Lewis closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Nimoy's guard.
Nimoy manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.

Nimoy really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lewis. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Oh but Lewis is tightening it up a little... Nimoy has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Nimoy reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Nimoy taps out! Nice BJJ there by Lewis!
