Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Arthur Morgan (ranked 3738 p4p, 3308 weight class) and Alex Alexandrov (ranked 501 p4p, 460 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alexandrov closes the distance looking to clinch
enabling Morgan to counter with a crisp jab.

Alexandrov rushes Morgan and presses him up against the cage.
Alexandrov blocks a body shot from Morgan.
Alexandrov misses with a hook from the clinch.
Morgan has had enough of the clinch but Alexandrov keeps him there for the moment.
Morgan wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Alexandrov has him pressed against the cage.

Morgan drops back looking for a leg! Alexandrov is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Alexandrov manages to kick Morgan off! Morgan jumps back into Alexandrov's guard.

Morgan has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Alexandrov swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Alexandrov lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Morgan circles away quickly and effectively.

Alexandrov gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Morgan jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Alexandrov walks away with a smile on his face. Morgan gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

A frustrated look appears on Morgan's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Alexandrov misses with a hook to the ribs.

The fight stays on the outside here - Alexandrov looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Morgan was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.

and Alexandrov counters with a solid body kick.

It looked like Morgan was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Alexandrov must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Alexandrov gets to his feet. Morgan looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

and Morgan counters with a straight right hand.

Alexandrov lands a big head kick that sends Morgan tumbling to the mat! Alexandrov takes a step backwards and waves Morgan back to his feet - he wants the finish!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Alexandrov dances in with a quick combination. Morgan is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Alexandrov snaps Morgan's head back. Morgan stumbles backwards against the cage. Alexandrov steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Morgan's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Morgan just didn't come prepared.
