Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Oliver Brimble (ranked 4372 p4p, 6068 weight class) and Vtnom Snake (ranked 476 p4p, 0 weight class). Snake has chosen wae as his entrance music. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Oliver Brimble! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Vtnom Snake! The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Jorge Garcia and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Snake looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Brimble is fending him off so far but Snake persists. Nope, Brimble circles away and we're back to standing. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Brimble is defended easily by Snake. Snake darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Snake blocks the strikes from Brimble.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Snake not doing much here.
Brimble tries to roll over but Snake keeps him under control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brimble has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Snake is working away from the top position though. Snake prevents Brimble from standing back up.
Brimble has guillotine here! It looks pretty tight! Could this be all over! No, Snake escapes and passes into side control at the same time. Nice work there by Snake! Snake remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Brimble regains half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Snake is looking to advance position but Brimble won't allow it. Brimble is looking to escape. Snake wants to pass the guard but Brimble is defending well. Brimble wants to improve his position but Snake is controlling well.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Snake in particular looking to stall.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Brimble tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Snake defends well and Brimble ends up having to push Snake into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Snake tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Brimble pulls guard successfully.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Snake is in close to Brimble's body, working some short punches and elbows. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Brimble striking off his back but it's not causing Snake any problems. Snake landing with the ground and pound. Brimble looking to control.
Brimble will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Snake must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Brimble had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Snake defends it easily. Snake wants to control from the top but Brimble keeps moving.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Brimble can't keep his opponent in guard - Snake advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Brimble has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Snake is working away from the top position though. Brimble is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Snake pulls his head out easily. Snake passes to side control. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Snake takes a little break here. Brimble wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Vtnom Snake dominated that round. That's time! Brimble's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Snake stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Brimble. Snake throws a push kick but Brimble slaps the foot to one side. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Brimble. Snake keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Snake fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Brimble avoids it really well and circles away. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Snake shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Snake was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Brimble tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.
That's one minute gone in the round. Snake is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
Brimble rolls, trying to escape but Snake keeps control of the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Snake not allowing Brimble to control his hands. Snake is riding his opponent, not letting Brimble buck him off. Brimble breaks Snake's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Brimble throws a big elbow that misses. Brimble throwing strikes but missing. Brimble throwing strikes but missing. Snake has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Brimble can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brimble drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Brimble jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Brimble pushes down on Snake's leg and manages to get into half guard. Brimble is looking to stand up but he'll have to free his leg first. Instead, Snake manages to get to full guard. Brimble stopping the sweep attempt from Snake. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Snake can do anything to dispel that myth. Brimble working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Brimble trying to control but Snake is working from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Brimble accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Brimble has gone for a leg lock! Snake slips out almost immediately though and dives into Brimble's guard. Brimble is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Brimble throws his legs up looking for a submission but Snake uses it to pass to side control.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Snake trying to control the position but Brimble is working away. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Vtnom Snake will probably get the nod - 10:9. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round! Snake fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. A combination from Brimble does no damage. Brimble tries to sprawl but Snake drives through with a takedown into half guard. Brimble moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Snake won't allow Brimble to sweep him here. Brimble looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Brimble is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Snake pulls his head out easily. Snake content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Brimble looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Brimble trying to hold on to Snake's head to control him but Snake postures up.
Snake has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Snake stalling. Snake scoring with strikes to the body and head. Snake is figuring out what he wants to do next.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Snake slaps away a takedown attempt from Brimble, before circling back to the center of the mat.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brimble throws a leg kick that is checked and Snake counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Brimble tries to bum rush Snake with a series of wild strikes but Snake uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Snake shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Brimble throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Snake escapes and throws Brimble's legs to the side, diving into side control! Snake wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Brimble, who protects the arm well. Brimble is trying to control Snake's posture but Snake avoids it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Snake lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Snake landing a few strikes. Snake trying to control the action but Brimble is working from the bottom. Snake is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Brimble wants to control but Snake postures up.
And that's the end of the fight! Vtnom Snake comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Snake has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
