Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jorma Potku (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Reko Myllykoski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Jorma Potku has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Jorma Potku! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Myllykoski misses with a body shot.
Myllykoski with a body punch. A glancing blow. Myllykoski throws the left hand but Potku avoids the punch easily. Myllykoski bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Potku's head backwards. Potku closes the distance and clinches up with Myllykoski, looking for a takedown. Potku pushes Myllykoski against the cage but Myllykoski circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Myllykoski swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Myllykoski throws a lazy right hand but Potku sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Myllykoski misses with a wild body shot.
That's one minute gone in the round. Potku closes this distance looking for a takedown but Myllykoski circles away. Myllykoski with a body punch. A glancing blow. Potku will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jorma Potku. That's going to take a lot out of him. Potku fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Potku leaves Myllykoski with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Myllykoski takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Myllykoski closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Myllykoski not landing any meaningful shots this time. Myllykoski throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Myllykoski throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Myllykoski throws a strike but Potku avoids it easily and moves to full guard. Myllykoski cracks Potku with a solid left hand.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Potku preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Myllykoski stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Potku swivels though and keeps the full guard. Myllykoski working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Myllykoski accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Myllykoski throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Potku works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Myllykoski thows a big elbow that misses. Myllykoski distracts Potku with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Myllykoski has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Myllykoski won't allow Potku to get back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Potku takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Potku misses with a takedown attempt and Myllykoski counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Myllykoski. Myllykoski throws and elbow that misses. Potku uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Myllykoski's guard. Nice move by Potku! Potku has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Myllykoski wants to sweep but no luck. Myllykoski looks gassed! Myllykoski has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Potku has passed into side control.

Potku doesn't succeed with the takedown and Myllykoski counters with a stiff right hand. Myllykoski throws a big shot that misses. Potku shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Myllykoski decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Potku's guard. Myllykoski loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Myllykoski lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

He's now in Myllykoski's guard. Nice move by Potku! Myllykoski has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Potku off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. Myllykoski throws a body punch but Potku moves out of range. Potku displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Myllykoski throws out the jab.

Myllykoski thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Potku to regain full guard. Myllykoski throws a strike but Potku rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Potku won't allow Myllykoski to sweep him here. Potku trying to stand up but can't free himself from Myllykoski's guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Reko Myllykoski showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!

Reko Myllykoski is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Myllykoski dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Potku gets caught flat footed, as Myllykoski shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Myllykoski pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Potku is keeping the position for now.
And that's the end of the fight! Reko Myllykoski comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Myllykoski has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
