Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Heavy Guy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Heavy Mann!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mann fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Guy sprawls well initially but Mann persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Mann keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Guy is looking for a sweep. Mann is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Guy punching from the bottom.
Mann controlling the action here.
Mann missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Mann is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Mann lands with a punch from half guard.
It looks like Heavy Guy has been cut.
Mann looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Guy with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Guy is refusing to be controlled, as Mann sits in half guard.
Guy landing rabbit punches to the side of Mann's head. Not doing much damage but still scoring a few points.
Guy trying to control but Mann postures up.
Guy works his way to full guard. Good work.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Mann drops back, looking for a kneebar! Guy looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Guy looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Guy!
Mann tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Guy wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Guy working away.
Guy is chipping away with strikes.
Mann wants to control but Guy postures up.
Guy works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Guy in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Mann misses with a strike from the bottom.
Check out the look on Guy's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mann tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Mann is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Guy's leg. Oh but that's left an opportunity for Guy! He's got an arm triangle... it looks tight! He's rotating and Mann has tapped! This one is allllll over!
