Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jett Robins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Gabe Oliviera!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Paul Gruel and Ryoma Takatsuka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Robins digs a good body shot into Oliviera's ribs.
Oliviera misses with a takedown
and Robins counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Robins lands a nice shot that snaps Oliviera's head back.
We've been told by Robins's head coaches at Besta-Fera Training Center that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Oliviera darts in looking for a takedown but Robins gets double underhooks and turns Oliviera into the cage.
Robins swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Robins's corner calls for a 1-2. Robins obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Oliviera moves to clinch but Robins breaks away
and Robins counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Oliviera throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Robins counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Oliviera is rocked!
Gabe Oliviera seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Robins bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Oliviera is still on wobbly legs! Can Robins finish him?
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Oliviera with a lazy takedown attempt
and Robins counters with a beautiful right hand that knocks Oliviera out cold! What a finish! Robins is going crazy, running around the mat, summersaulting off the corner posts and screaming into the cameras. Something tells me he's pretty happy!
