Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Austin Stevens (ranked 5438 p4p, 5611 weight class) and Denis Hadzo (ranked 485 p4p, 490 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Austin Stevens!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Denis Hadzo!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Josh West and Jeff Smith.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hadzo throws a poor cross that misses
and Stevens counters with a nice uppercut.
Hadzo misses with a left hand
and Stevens counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Hadzo thinking.
Stevens scores with a jab. Hadzo acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Stevens dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Hadzo. That did some damage!
Stevens lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Stevens fails to land with a series of punches.
Hadzo with a lazy takedown attempt
and Stevens connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Stevens ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Stevens connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Stevens avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Hadzo takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Hadzo throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Stevens connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Stevens wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Hadzo checks a leg kick.
Hadzo throws a lazy right hand but Stevens sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Hadzo has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Stevens connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Stevens misses with a two punch combination.
Stevens throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Hadzo on the side of the head.
Hadzo takes one to the side of the head.
Stevens lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Stevens jabs Hadzo right on the nose. Hadzo blinks but takes it well.
Stevens slips a jab and a cross from Hadzo.
Stevens seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Hadzo misses with a right hand
and Stevens counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Danga de danga de dang - Stevens scores with a four punch combination!

Hadzo rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
letting Stevens counter with a right hand.
Hadzo is still on wobbly legs! Can Stevens finish him?
Stevens cracks Hadzo with a hook to the temple - Hadzo is on wobbly legs here! Stevens swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Hadzo falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Stevens wins by TKO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Austin Stevens!

Denis Hadzo spoke after the fight, saying 'It is what it is...on to the next one'.
