Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cottoneye Joe (ranked 2197 p4p, 2284 weight class) and Lom Seis (ranked 255 p4p, 264 weight class). Lom Seis will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Seis throws a sloppy head kick
and Joe counters with a one-two to the body.
Seis ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Joe walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Seis checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Lom Seis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Joe's jab looks to have found its range, popping Seis under the eye.

It looks like Lom Seis has been cut.
Joe throws a leg kick
and Seis counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

Joe closes the distance and clinches.
Seis throws an elbow but it's blocked.
Joe makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Joe lands a knee to the body.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

A short body shot lands from Joe as the two fighters clinch.
Joe using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Seis has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Joe struggles to land a body shot inside as Seis controls his hands.

Seis is looking to break free of the clinch but Joe has double underhooks.

That has opened up Lom Seis's cut even more.

Seis throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Joe blocks it with crossed arms.

A frustrated look appears on Seis's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Seis blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Seis's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Joe throws a leg kick that is checked
and Seis connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Joe clinches up with Seis and pushes him back against the cage.
Joe prevents a body shot from Seis.
Joe tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Seis scores with a shoulder strike.
Joe avoiding damage as Seis throws knees to the body.
Joe landing some nice looking knees to the body.
Joe lands with a short shot to the head.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Seis working hard to break the clinch.
Seis pushes Joe back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Seis is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Joe is defending well for now.
Seis is trying to break the clinch but Joe is controlling him.
Joe definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Joe lands a right hand that snaps the head of Seis backwards.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The cut man is working on Lom Seis's cut.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Seis drops his hands momentarily. Joe doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Seis staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Seis doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.
