The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Power pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Power connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Smooth has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Smooth closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Smooth wants to control but Power is keeping him busy.
Power tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Smooth wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Power takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Power is not content to let Smooth control the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Power is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Smooth lets go of the hold and Power can pop his arm back in it's socket.
