Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Michael Washington (ranked 3651 p4p, 4084 weight class) and Ki Dausz (ranked 413 p4p, 435 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Washington might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to The Rising. Dausz has chosen Trio Libel's : Gadisku as his entrance music. Ki Dausz will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Michael Washington!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ki Dausz!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Roosa Järviläinen and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Washington looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Dausz tries to clinch up.
Washington appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
A punch combination from Dausz misses.
Ki Dausz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Washington rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Dausz moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Dausz throws a nice inside leg kick.
Dausz tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
A little feinted left hand from Washington on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Washington circles away from the clinch attempt
and Washington counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Washington closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Dausz quickly recovers to half guard.
Dausz looks like he's trying to stand up.

Washington seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Dausz tries to kick Washington off but Washington keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Washington stands up and beckons Dausz to join him on the feet.
Washington shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Washington was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Dausz is looking to get back to his feet here but Washington is keeping cool and he's managed to take Dausz's back.
Washington has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Dausz's body.
Washington has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.

So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.

Washington seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Dausz for as long as he can get away with.

Dausz is trying to get back to his feet but Washington has full control of the position and if anything, Dausz has just worked his way into a worse spot.
Washington misses with an elbow to the head.
Dausz is trying to escape but he's just digging himself into more trouble. Washington manages to sink in the hooks and gets a rear naked choke to end the fight in impressive fashion.

Michael Washington decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
