Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between William Stubbs (ranked 5832 p4p, 2270 weight class) and Kyrylo Lyashenko (ranked 0 p4p, 326 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, William Stubbs!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Kyrylo Lyashenko!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Colin Fotheringham and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Some wild striking there from Stubbs.
Stubbs scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
It looks like Kyrylo Lyashenko has been cut.
Stubbs throws a series of punches but Lyashenko moves out of range.
Lyashenko is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Stubbs with a body shot.
Stubbs throws an overhand right that lands on Lyashenko's shoulder, as Lyashenko tries to avoid the shot.
Lyashenko has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Stubbs looks to score with a jab to the body but Lyashenko is just out of range.
Stubbs throws a combination. Lyashenko tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Stubbs throws a lazy right hand but Lyashenko sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Lyashenko unleashes a big counter combination but Stubbs bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Stubbs definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Lyashenko punishes Stubbs's body with a nice straight punch.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Stubbs tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Lyashenko manages to circle out of the way.
Stubbs cracks Lyashenko with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Lyashenko closes the distance and clinches.
Stubbs misses with a shot to the kidneys.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Lyashenko takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Stubbs's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Lyashenko gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

Stubbs is trying to break the clinch but Lyashenko is controlling him.
Lyashenko throws a punch but it's blocked by Stubbs.

Lyashenko is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Stubbs is trying to force a seperation but Lyashenko has the dominant position.

Lyashenko lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Stubbs backwards.

Stubbs tries to break free but Lyashenko pushes him back against the cage.

The crowd are getting on Lyashenko's back here. They're not happy about his lack of aggression in the clinch.

The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by Kyrylo Lyashenko.

Lyashenko throws a hook but Stubbs avoids it easily.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Lyashenko lands a right hand that snaps the head of Stubbs backwards.
Stubbs tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Lyashenko has Stubbs pushed against the cage.
Lyashenko's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Stubbs lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
That has opened up Kyrylo Lyashenko's cut even more.
Stubbs tests Lyashenko's chin there with a solid looking shot.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Stubbs throws a jab when Lyashenko was well out of range.
Stubbs cracks Lyashenko with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Lyashenko tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Stubbs pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Lyashenko is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). William Stubbs!
William Stubbs decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
