Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between James William (ranked 4341 p4p, 5715 weight class) and Kelsey Wright (ranked 0 p4p, 251 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, James William! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Kelsey Wright! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, George Francis and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wright closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. William breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Wright wants to clinch. Wright darts in looking for a takedown but William gets double underhooks and turns Wright into the cage. William drops down looking for a counter takedown but Wright sprawls and moves away. William really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. William shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Wright but Wright pushes him off and we're back to square one. Wright defends well against a solid takedown attempt from William. William avoids a punch combination nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wright looking to score a takedown here. William is defending well but Wright drives through and ends up in William's guard. Wright stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. William swivels though and keeps the full guard. Wright loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

William wants to sweep here but Wright controlling him for the moment. William trying to control the position.
William keeping moving, preventing Wright from controlling successfully. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. William seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Wright dives in and scores a takedown into William's guard. Wright gets to his feet. William looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Wright closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Wright takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. William is staying active underneath Wright, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Wright is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. William misses with some strikes from the bottom.
William has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Wright is working away from the top position though.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Wright wants to control but William is keeping him busy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. William is trying is best to control the position here. Wright content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Wright drops an elbow to the side of William's head. William is refusing to be controlled, as Wright sits in half guard. Wright fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

James William has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kelsey Wright. Wright is breathing heavily. William fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Wright avoids it really well and circles away. William shoots in for a double leg but Wright sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Wright throws a head kick that misses. William darts in looking for a takedown but Wright gets double underhooks and turns William into the cage. Wright looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it. William lands a nice elbow. Wright is trying to pull guard but William turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Wright working hard to break the clinch. William breaks from the clinch.

He's got his arms around William's waist but William gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Wright off to one side. William tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Wright manages to circle out of the way. William fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Wright looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? William is fending him off so far but Wright persists. Nope, William circles away and we're back to standing. Wright slaps away a takedown attempt from William, before circling back to the center of the mat. William just misses with a punch to the body.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. William is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Wright wants to slow William down by chopping away at his legs. Kelsey Wright seems to be getting the better of the standup. William shoots in for a takedown but Wright shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Wright fails miserably with a takedown attempt. William goes for a double leg but Wright avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Wright continues to drive forward. Wright is looking to break free of the clinch but William has double underhooks. William is pushing Wright up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. A battle for position here, against the cage.

William is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Wright changes levels and goes for a takedown here. William fights it off and pushes away nicely.
