Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Lasse Savisto!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Tarja Halkonen and Ben Zyskovitsi.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Savisto just misses with a punch to the body.
Savisto darts in trying to clinch
and Thorn makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

It looked like Thorn wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Savisto has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Thorn moves into the clinch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Thorn counters with a crisp right hand that drops Savisto! Thorn lets Savisto back up to his feet, looking for a finish!

Thorn has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Savisto has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.

Savisto lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

Thorn connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Savisto's hands.
Thorn takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Savisto scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Thorn doesn't seem bothered though.
Thorn throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Savisto sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Thorn throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Savisto.
Savisto takes one on the button.
Thorn lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Savisto at a distance.
Thorn throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Savisto is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
The fight stays on the outside here - Thorn looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Savisto shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

Savisto throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Thorn's waist but Thorn gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Savisto off to one side.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Thorn lands a big head kick that sends Savisto tumbling to the mat! Thorn takes a step backwards and waves Savisto back to his feet - he wants the finish!
