Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Darren Harged (ranked 3881 p4p, 25307 weight class) and Kristapzs Lintellz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kristapzs Lintellz!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Donald Grub and Phil Schofield.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lintellz is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Lintellz shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Harged as he jumps to the side.
We've been hearing reports that Harged has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Harged throws out a powerful jab.

and Harged counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Lintellz throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Harged blocks it with crossed arms.

Lintellz really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Harged. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Harged is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Harged is really struggling to control Lintellz but he's trying to hold on to the position.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

and Harged makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Kristapzs Lintellz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Harged slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Nice takedown defense from Harged. No joy for Lintellz on that attempt.

Harged throws a good cross that connects.

Harged has hold of one of Lintellz's legs. Lintellz is fighting the takedown attempt but Harged gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Lintellz working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Harged doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Harged manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Lintellz wants to improve his position but Harged is controlling well.

Harged takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Harged moves nicely into side control.
Lintellz wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

Harged is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Lintellz is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Lintellz is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

Harged thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Harged is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Lintellz can do to turn this around?
Lintellz is pushing Harged's head away, looking to escape. Harged manages to hold on to the position though.

The referee asks Harged politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Harged prefers to stall for the moment though.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Lintellz can do anything to dispel that myth.

Harged is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Lintellz can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Harged won't let Lintellz get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Harged has closed the distance and engaged Lintellz in a clinch.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Lintellz shoots in but no luck this time.
Harged stuffs the takedown attempt from Lintellz. Lintellz gets slowly back to his feet.
Harged fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Lintellz looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Lintellz shoots in looking for a takedown but Harged manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Lintellz's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Darren Harged has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kristapzs Lintellz.

and Harged counters with a three punch combo that has Lintellz backing up. Lintellz nods at Harged to acknowledge the strikes.

Harged stalks Lintellz and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Lintellz's face. Lintellz staggers backwards, shaken.
Lintellz shoots in looking for a takedown. Harged tries to sprawl out of it but Lintellz keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Harged manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Harged is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Harged lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Lintellz takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Lintellz tries to score a power double leg takedown but Harged sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Lintellz somewhat.

and Harged counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Lintellz ducks into an uppercut from Harged and that's knocked him out cold! This one is all over!
