Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brick Knuckles (ranked 3278 p4p, 3479 weight class) and John Paul (ranked 341 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Brick Knuckles! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Paul! The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Anthony Taglia and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Paul ducks under a wild hook from Knuckles. A big right from Paul misses. Knuckles scores with a shot to the body.
Knuckles connects with a solid leg kick. Knuckles walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Paul checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Knuckles definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Paul uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Knuckles.
Knuckles stuns Paul with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. A big left from Knuckles misses. Paul keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Paul does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Knuckles motions for Paul to come forward. Knuckles throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Knuckles turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Paul throws a nice inside leg kick. Paul keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Knuckles is looking to wear down Paul with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Knuckles punishes Paul's body with a nice straight punch. Knuckles throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Paul keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Brick Knuckles seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's one minute gone in the round. Knuckles throws a leg kick that misses. The crowd cheers as Knuckles lands an impressive looking overhand right. Paul doesn't seem phased though.
It looks like John Paul has been cut. Knuckles lunges at Paul with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Paul's hand. Knuckles slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Knuckles throws a hook to the side of Paul's head but Paul sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Knuckles swats away the attempt to clinch by Paul. Knuckles with a body punch. A glancing blow. Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Knuckles lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Paul has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Paul and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Knuckles swings away with a leg kick that misses. Paul is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Paul has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Knuckles. Knuckles looks to score with a jab to the body but Paul is just out of range. Knuckles scores with a decent looking hook.
That has opened up John Paul's cut even more. Knuckles misses with a wild body shot. Paul is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Paul scores with a decent looking hook.

Knuckles throws a big shot that misses. Paul connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Knuckles momentarily.
The fighters circling - Knuckles throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Paul takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Knuckles throws an overhand right that lands on Paul's shoulder, as Paul tries to avoid the shot. Paul checks a leg kick nicely. Paul misses with a low kick.
Paul takes one on the button.
The cut above John Paul's eye is starting to cause him problems now. Paul connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Knuckles throws a looping overhand right but Paul ducks down to avoid it. Good standup being displayed there by Knuckles as he connects with a hook.
Paul is rocked! Paul switches off momentarily and Knuckles cracks him with a monster right hand! Paul topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Knuckles dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Knuckles!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Brick Knuckles! During a confident post fight interview, Brick Knuckles thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
