Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Agbay Amiga (ranked 24234 p4p, 24388 weight class) and Richard John Salvacion (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 32 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Agbay Amiga!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 29 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Richard John Salvacion!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Gwen Towbar and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.

Salvacion is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Amiga's half guard.
Salvacion perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Amiga misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Amiga wants to improve his position but Salvacion is controlling well.
Salvacion performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Salvacion's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Amiga is concentrating on defense, preventing Salvacion from advancing position.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Salvacion seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.

Salvacion closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Amiga wants to control but Salvacion postures up.

Salvacion wants to lay and pray for a moment but Amiga keeps working.
You can see the frustration on Amiga's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Amiga seems a little lost for a moment, as Salvacion dominates the positioning.
Amiga is trying to control Salvacion's posture but Salvacion avoids it.

The strikes coming from Salvacion are missing the target in this wave of attacks.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Salvacion shoots for a double leg takedown but Amiga sprawls well. He's pushed Salvacion's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Amiga lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
Salvacion shoots in looking for a takedown but Amiga manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Salvacion's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Salvacion tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Amiga defends well and Salvacion ends up having to push Amiga into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
It appears Amiga was looking to counter with a kick there.
Agbay Amiga has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Richard John Salvacion.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Amiga is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Salvacion's half guard.
Salvacion wants to control but Amiga is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Amiga gets to his feet - back to striking we go!

Amiga looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Salvacion!
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Agbay Amiga will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Amiga shoots in for a takedown but Salvacion shows good takedown defense.
Amiga has his takedown stuffed
and Salvacion makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Amiga really felt that one!

Salvacion drives through with a takedown into guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Salvacion looking to pass the guard.
Amiga tries to land a sweep but no joy.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Amiga is adopting a defensive guard.
Amiga is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Salvacion is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Salvacion looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
It appears Amiga was looking to counter with a kick there.

Salvacion closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Amiga wants to get back to his feet.
Amiga tries to bench press Salvacion off him but Salvacion keeps the position.
Amiga can't do much from the bottom here.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Salvacion wants to control but Amiga is keeping him busy.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Amiga seems a little lost for a moment, as Salvacion dominates the positioning.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Salvacion is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Amiga thinks about countering with a body kick.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Richard John Salvacion showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Salvacion misses with a takedown
and Amiga counters with a three punch combo that has Salvacion backing up. Salvacion nods at Amiga to acknowledge the strikes.

Salvacion drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Amiga wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Amiga controls Salvacion momentarily but Salvacion frees himself.

Amiga looking to hit a scissor sweep but Salvacion is one step ahead there.
Amiga is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Salvacion controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Salvacion postures up.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Salvacion has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Salvacion engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Salvacion slaps away a takedown attempt from Amiga, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Salvacion replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Amiga blocks it well.
Nice takedown defense from Salvacion. No joy for Amiga on that attempt.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Salvacion changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Amiga looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Amiga manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.

And that's the end of the fight!
Richard John Salvacion comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Salvacion has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
