Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Tanner Wyatt (ranked 25397 p4p, 5774 weight class) and Jake Foster (ranked 393 p4p, 372 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Tanner Wyatt!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jake Foster!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Winston Howard and Ben Watson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Wyatt uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Foster.
Wyatt was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Wyatt blocks a jab.
Wyatt is looking to counter punch.
Jake Foster seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A telegraphed right hand from Foster misses the target.

Foster shoots in for a takedown but Wyatt shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Foster manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Wyatt on his heels. He'll look to pass Wyatt's guard now, I'm sure.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Foster stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Wyatt swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Wyatt is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Foster misses with a straight right.

Foster gets a takedown into half guard.
Wyatt knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Foster on the ground.
Foster is looking to take a break and control but Wyatt is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Foster looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Foster's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Foster can do anything to dispel that myth.
Foster is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Wyatt wants to stand but Foster is controlling his posture from full guard.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Wyatt stuffs the takedown attempt from Foster. Foster gets slowly back to his feet.
Foster shoots for a double leg takedown but Wyatt sprawls well. He's pushed Foster's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Jake Foster comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Foster has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
