Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Connor McSwagger!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Dan Odonnel !
The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Daniel Franklin and David Hoff.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McSwagger swinging wildly here.
Odonnel fails with a takedown attempt.

McSwagger jabs Odonnel to the body, keeping him at a distance.

McSwagger gets caught flat footed, as Odonnel shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

McSwagger definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

McSwagger is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

Odonnel misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.

McSwagger knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Odonnel on the ground.

Odonnel is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but McSwagger is surviving well by controlling Odonnel 's body position as best he can.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Odonnel is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, McSwagger has managed to free his arm - good work.
McSwagger tries to kick Odonnel off but Odonnel keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Odonnel perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Odonnel 's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
McSwagger might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Odonnel thows a huge punch but McSwagger dodges it nicely.

Odonnel has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Odonnel shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says McSwagger as he avoids it easily.

and McSwagger makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Dan Odonnel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

A momentary lapse in concentration from McSwagger enables Odonnel to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. McSwagger manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
McSwagger is looking to stand up but Odonnel isn't so interested in that idea.

That was a close second round but I would say that Connor McSwagger will probably get the nod.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts McSwagger, as that shot connected.
McSwagger throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
