Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Hideyoshi Yamasaki (ranked 4108 p4p, 5406 weight class) and Kai Walsh (ranked 483 p4p, 542 weight class). Kai Walsh is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hideyoshi Yamasaki!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kai Walsh!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Bruno Lombardi and Jorge Garcia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab from Yamasaki misses.
Yamasaki thows a leg kick but Walsh checks it
and Walsh counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Yamasaki, as that shot connected.

It looks like Kai Walsh has been cut.
Walsh tries for a takedown but Yamasaki sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Walsh.
A little feinted left hand from Yamasaki on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Walsh walks into a left hand.
Walsh drops his hands momentarily and Yamasaki takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Walsh changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Yamasaki misses the jab.
Walsh throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Yamasaki sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Yamasaki is looking to counter punch.
Yamasaki swinging wildly here.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Walsh has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Yamasaki finds it's way round the side to connect with Walsh's head.

Walsh is rocked!
Walsh tries to clinch there but Yamasaki circles away.
Yamasaki fires out a quick counter leg kick but Walsh just manages to avoid it.
Walsh fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Yamasaki has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Nice sprawl there from Yamasaki as Walsh shoots in.
Hideyoshi Yamasaki has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kai Walsh.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Yamasaki misses with a looping left.
Yamasaki bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Walsh's head backwards.
Walsh is still on wobbly legs! Can Yamasaki finish him?
Yamasaki cracks Walsh on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Walsh falls backwards against the cage. Yamasaki follows up with more strikes that drop Walsh to his knees. Yamasaki keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Walsh! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:14 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Hideyoshi Yamasaki!
Hideyoshi Yamasaki decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
