Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Cash Cartier!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Efim Gracie!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Bruno Lombardi and Eddie Farnsworth.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cartier takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Cartier shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Cartier throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Cartier uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Gracie.
Gracie stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Cartier moves out of range of the strikes.
An attempted straight right counter from Cartier misses the target.
Cartier punishes Gracie's body with a nice straight punch.
Gracie moves into range and connects with a jab.
Cartier is rocked!
Gracie circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Cartier to the canvas! Cartier doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Gracie keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Efim Gracie!
In his post fight interview, Efim Gracie gave a big smile as he said 'Lets gooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!'.
