WPGC 3.0 PBP Commentary |
This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the super heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of New York, with a TWGC record of 6 wins and 6 losses; Vasiliy Kulik! And in the blue corner, fighting out of New York, with a TWGC record of 11 wins and 15 losses; Disco Kid!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Roger Salmon and Paul Gruel.
The official calls the fighters to the middle and the contest is under way.
Kid shoots in for a takedown but Kulik shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Kulik closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Kid is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Kulik pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Kulik jumps guard and drags Kid to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
We've been hearing good reports from Kulik's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
