Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Baki Hanma!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Randy Handy!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Alan Glass and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hanma slips a jab and a cross from Handy.
Hanma avoids a punch combination nicely.
Handy doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Handy clinches with his opponent.
Hanma pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Hanma cracks Handy with an open hand slap.
It looks like Randy Handy has been cut.
Hanma's corner calls for a 1-2. Hanma obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Handy walks into a stiff left hand from Hanma.
Hanma fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Handy on the side of the head.
Hanma lands a big uppercut and Handy crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Handy looks OK. Hanma waves Handy back to his feet!
Handy is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Handy switches off momentarily and Hanma cracks him with a monster right hand! Handy topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Hanma dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Hanma!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Baki Hanma!
In his post fight interview, Baki Hanma started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
